Hakatere Marae are very excited to advertise their fourth and final Hauora Day for 2023. So whanau get your tane, tuakana, tama along to get their checks and while there, get yours as well. Kaio for those who take part in the event. We have a couple of awesome competitions starting at 11am on the day – men’s tug of war ( 4 in a team), men’s volleyball ( 6 in a team) , whanau tug of war ( up to 5) – winners will receive some pretty amazing prizes as well. We would like to extend a warm welcome to our new member of staff, Nurse Practitioner Amanda Van Asperen. Amanda is a Gerontology (Older Persons’) Nurse Practitioner who has worked at Ashburton Hospital since she first registered as a nurse in 2004. She has 10 years experience as a general medical/palliative nurse, 5 years experience as a Nurse Educator and the previous 4 years working in Gerontology where she gained her Nurse Practitioner qualification. She is married with two young boys who keep her busy.
